Discovery Church: UPDATE!

There are several items that I want to update everyone on.  Many exciting things have happened, and continue to happen.  God is doing awesome things in the lives of those who attend Discovery Church, and in our church as a whole.  Check it out:

• Community!  Discovery Church believes that life transformation happens best within the context of redemmptive relationships.  Redemptive relationship = COMMUNITY.  Community is the result of all of us as individuals investing in and caring about the people around us.  It’s exciting to see that hapening at Discovery Church each week, and it seems to be happening at a rate faster than ever.  Thank God for that!
• Farewell to Dennis and Cindy Gullion.  On July 26, Discovery Church said farewell to the Gullion family.  Dennis and Cindy have served as the Family Ministries Directors at Discovery Church for 7 months during the pre-launch phase.  There is really no way to put into words the incredible contribution of time, effort, and fundraising that they have made to Discovery Church.  We love the Gullion’s and wish them God’s best.  He has amazing things planned for you! 
• Final Preview Service: AUG 9TH:  What?  For real?  YES!  We will hold our LAST preview THIS SUNDAY August 9th at The Wildlife Experience.  This is aservice you DON’T want to miss!  We are planning to have an amazing time worshiping God, and collecting nuggets of truth from the life of an old-school prophet: Elijah.  Be there- and invite all your homeys!
• Launch is only 6 weeks away!  September 13th is barreling down on us like a freight train- and I’M SO READY!!  I’m not sure we’re entirely ready as a church, but boy I can hardly wait.  I’m also excited for fall, school to start, and attendance numbers to stabalize for a change.  We’re praying for a post-launch attendance of between 120-150.  Small stuff for a big God!
